Who is this service for?

Society labels people who seek extramarital liaisons as being immoral, unable to sustain intimacy or dysfunctional in some other way.

This is not necessarily the case at all. Many members of 'about lovers' indicate that they have happy marriages and have no intention of breaking up their family but need something else as well. There is a gap or emptiness in their lives, which cannot be filled in their every day relationships.

What seems to be true often is that the affair is more fun, lighter, and more erotic as the history and 'baggage' of a marriage or long-term relationship, with all its resentments do not weigh it down.

'about lovers' is for married, attached or single professional people in South Africa. In the case of those who are attached, confidentiality and discretion are obviously critical issues, less so for the unattached, but for them it is the 'no strings attached aspect'.

'It destroys one's nerves to be amiable every day to the same human being'- Disraeli

'There's a world of difference between antiseptic married sex and the wildly erotic sex you have with someone new, especially when it can't possibly lead to anything. You get all the best bits-the fun, the laughter, the wining and dining-without having to get tangled up in each other's lives."-A woman quoted in "How Adultery saved my marriage"- The Star, June 26,2000.
